IC 405 - Flaming Star Nebula, IC 410, NGC 1893

Introduction | Map | My Own Photos | My Own Observations | References

On this page I collect my observations of the galactic emission nebula IC 405 (Flaming Star Nebula) as well as the near-by nebula IC 410 (Tadpole Nebula) in the constellation Auriga.

Introduction

The galactic emission nebula IC 405 (Flaming Star Nebula) in the constellation Auriga is, according to Stoyan, a challenge - not only for visual observations, but also for the eVscope (2). The Vespera fares better...

IC 410 (Tadpole Nebula) is an emission nebula with an embedded open star cluster (NGC 1893). In a Vespera mosaic, both IC 405 and IC 410 can be photographed together. The same applies to IC 410 and M 36 (plus NGC 1931, IC 417).
