In my opinion, conferences mainly serve to get to know the world. See therefore my photos related to conference visits (not from the conferences, but from the cities...).
Visited the CHI conference, the largest conference about software usability, in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2008. INTERACT visits in 1995, 2005, and 2009 (first paper, together with a colleague), DIS visit in 2010 and Interaction visit in 2012.
In possession of a camera since about the age of 12 (birthday gift). See my camera history. At the moment, there are only three (more or less) "active" cameras at my disposal (Sony RX10 M4, Sony RX100 M4, Leica M240), because I sold most of my cameras again. Only a few older cameras are still in my possession... I have compiled information about my more or less current cameras (GXR, GR, X Vario, M240, RX100 M4, RX10 M3/4), and also for my wife's current cameras (RX100 M1, TZ202) on this Website.
Each year, and sometimes more often, I create a new calendar from my photos.
Sometimes I am under rhyming compulsion. Some "results" of this can be found on this Website.
And here one more piece of information about this topic:
