On this page I collect my observations of the galactic emission nebula NGC 6888 (Crescent Nebula) in constellation Cygnus.
The galactic emission nebula NGC 6888 (Crescent Nebula) in constellation Cygnus is faint and better suited to larger telescopes. NGC 6888 is illuminated by a so-called Wolf-Rayet star with the designation WR 136. The gas of the nebula was presumably also ejected by this star.
Since NGC 6888 is an emission nebula, it responds well to the Vespera's Dual Band Filter.
