Introduction | Map | My Best Own Photos | My Own Observations | References || Appendix: My Own Photos

On this page I collect my observations of the galactic emission/reflection nebula NGC 1977 (with its parts NGC 1975 and NGC 1973) in the constellation Orion.

Introduction

The galactic emission/reflection nebula NGC 1977 (with its parts NGC 1975 and NGC 1973) in the constellation Orion is called Running Man Nebula because of the form of a dark nebula inside of it.

Size: 10' x 5' (Stoyan)
Distance: 1,300 light years (Stoyan)
Ranking: ** (Stoyan)
