Version 2.0

On November 14, 2019, Sony published a first firmware update for the Sony RX10 M4 having already the version number 2.0.

Benefits and Improvements

• Adds real-time Eye AF for animals
• Enables the possibility to operate the real-time EYE AF by half-pressing the shutter button
• Improves the overall stability of the camera

Notes

• It is not possible to detect simultaneously human and animal eyes.
• Eye detection may not be possible depending on the environment, animal type or the movement of the animal.

Not that I had really waited for this improvement...

There are no firmware updates for the Sony RX10 M3 and there is one for the M4 so far (as far as I know).
