So far, the following firmware updates were published:

Firmware update Ver.1.10 for DSC-RX100 (Mac/Windows), Release date: 20/01/2015
Benefits and improvements: Improve the vibration and sound noise of the lens during auto-focusing

Comments

While the Sony RX100 was released in 2012, it took until early 2015 before the first - and probably - only firmware update was released for this camera. In addition, while the improvement may be useful, many issues that plague the camera were not fixed - and many chances for improvement were left out.

Contrary to Ricoh, Sony does not seem to improve its cameras over time and prefers to add new models, instead, even though the old models are still being sold. Not very satisfying for users...
