NGC 4567/68, NGC 4564

Introduction | Map | My Own Photos | My Own Observations | References

On this page I collect my observations of the spiral galaxies NGC 4567/68 (Siamese Twins, Butterfly Galaxies) in the constellation Virgo. The elliptical galaxy NGC 4564 is also visible on my eVscope photos.

Introduction

The spiral galaxies NGC 4567/68 in the constellation Virgo form an overlapping pair and are therefore called "Siamese Twins" or "Butterfly Galaxies". The elliptical galaxy NGC 4564 is also visible on my eVscope photos. All three galaxies are members of the Virgo galaxy cluster.
