First Attempt (April 24, 2010) | Second Attempt (April 25, 2010)
In April 2010, I tried to make some photos of Saturn with my new Sky-Watcher Dobsonian Heritage P130 telescope. The interesting question was: Would I be able to recognize anything at all? To make it short: In my second attempt you can recognize the ring!
I used my Ricoh GXR (1:50 method) with the A12-50 camera unit (APS-C-size sensor). Once more, it was very difficult for me to avoid vignetting. I used the following camera settings: manual mode (f/2.5, 1/25s), 3200 ASA, distance fixed to infinity.
I used a 5mm and a 6mm eyepiece (6mm for the last two photos in my second attempt).
