On this page I present planetary observations of the years 2022 and 2023, which I took with the eVscope 2. The planets Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars were mostly taken in a special "planetary mode" of the eVscope 2, which was provided by Unistellar for the eVscope telescopes in 2022.

At the end of November, the eVscope received a new planetary mode that works in the Enhanced Vision mode instead of the Live View mode. Unistellar does not share details about this new mode, but the photos are created by stacking and some "over-magnification", so they also have some blur. You can now see the bands of Jupiter considerably better than in Live View mode, and you may also be able to see the Great Red Spot. For Saturn, you can see the ring well, but no further details. Moons of both planets can only be seen in Live View mode with the exposure set manually.
Second test of the new planet mode, this time with Jupiter and Mars. Poor results for Jupiter, probably because of seeing. The first time that I saw some "structure" in Mars (but poor results as well).
