On this page I collect my observations of the globular star cluster NGC 6229 in the constellation Hercules.

Introduction

The globular star cluster NGC 6229 in the constellation Hercules is rather small and, together with M 13 and M 92 the third globular star cluster in constellation Hercules. NGC 6229 is an intermediate-metallicity globular cluster with two distinct generations of stars, and may be the remnant core of a spheroidal dwarf galaxy.
