On this page I collect my observations of the spiral galaxies NGC 5426 and NGC 5427 (the pair is called Arp 271) in the constellation Virgo.
The spiral galaxies NGC 5426 and NGC 5427 in the constellation Virgo form a pair and are interacting with one another. The galaxy pair is called Arp 271 and belongs to the class double galaxies with connected arms. The two systems have come so close that the mutual gravitational forces are causing an exchange of material between the galaxies (not visible in the eVscope and Vespera Pro).
NGC 5427 is listed as a Seyfert-2 galaxy.
