On this page I collect my observations of the globular star cluster NGC 5053 in the constellation Coma Berenices, which is not far away from the globular star cluster M 53 in the same constellation.

Introduction

The globular star cluster NGC 5053 in the constellation Coma Berenices is rather sparse and located in the vicinity of the globular star cluster M 53 (at 1° distance). With the Vespera (Pro) both can be photographed together.
