On this page I collect my observations of the spiral galaxy NGC 4725 in the constellation Coma Berenices; close to it, there is the smaller barred spiral galaxy NGC 4747; optically closer is the spiral galaxy NGC 4712.
The spiral galaxy NGC 4725 is located in the constellation Coma Berenices. The smaller spiral galaxy NGC 4712 lies optically in its vicinity, but the barred spiral galaxy NGC 4747 is actually closer to NGC 4725. According to the data, NGC 4725 is gravitationally bound to NGC 4747 (not NGC 4712!). Together with NGC 4712 and NGC 4747, NGC 4725 forms the optical galaxy triplet Holm 468.
