On this page I collect my observations of the spiral galaxy NGC 4244 (Silver Needle Galaxy) in the constellation Canes Venatici.

 

Introduction

The spiral galaxy NGC 4244 in the constellation Canes Venatici is seen edge-on and very thin and long. This probably lead to the name Silver Needle Galaxy.
