On this page I collect my observations of the double star M 40 in the constellation Ursa Major.

Introduction

The double star M 40 in the constellation Ursa Major made it to the surprise of many people into Messier's catalog. When using the eVscope, I also found the galaxies NGC 4284, NGC 4290, and PGC 39934 (very small) on the photos.
