Introduction | Map | My Own Photos | Own Observations | References
On this page I collect my observations of the double star M 40 (Winnecke 4) in the constellation Ursa Major.
The double star M 40 (Winnecke 4) in the constellation Ursa Major made it to the surprise of many people into Messier's catalog.
When using the eVscope, I also found the galaxies NGC 4284, NGC 4290, and PGC 39934 (very small) on the photos.
On a Vespera Pro photo, nova.astrometry.net found the galaxies NGC 4284, NGC 4290, further away the galaxies NGC 4335, NGC 4358, and NGC 4362, as well as the galaxy cluster Abell 1531 (not visible for me...).
