On this page I collect my observations of the barred spiral galaxy M 109 (NGC 3992) in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy M 109 in the constellation Ursa Major is a barred spiral galaxy, the bar of which is easily recognized in the eVscope. M 109 is the brightest galaxy in the M 109 Group (also known as the NGC 3992 Group or Ursa Major cloud), a large group of galaxies in the constellation Ursa Major that may number over 50 (or 80).
