On this page I collect my observations of the galactic emission nebula IC 5146 (Cocoon Nebula) in the constellation Cygnus with embedded open star cluster Cr 470.
The galactic emission nebula IC 5146 (Cocoon Nebula) in the constellation Cygnus has an embedded open star cluster, named Cr 470. The nebula is a star-forming region with ionized atomic hydrogen and has both emitting, reflecting, and absorbing components.
