On this page I collect my observations of the galactic emission nebula NGC 2174 (Monkey Head Nebula) in the constellation Orion; it contains the open star cluster NGC 2175.

Introduction

The galactic emission nebula NGC 2174 in the constellation Orion is also called Monkey Head Nebula because its shape resembles a monkey head (upside down). The nebula contains the open star cluster NGC 2175.
